    Default My poor poor toe

Well okay. Coming up to a year at the end of June, I had my 21st birthday party at my parents place.

My SIL and myself had water bombs and decided to go around the front of the house and then climb over the side fence, so no one would see us at the back.
Well as we were climbing over the fence we ended up in Mums cactus plants that she had in pots.
Well SIL ended up with thorns all in her clothes and some in her leg. Me my toe copped it. Its my toe near my big toe on my right foot.

Anyways since then it seems to flare up, goes red and like a bruised look and forms puss.
It hurts and itches and annoys me so much I end up getting a pin and end up making it bleed. So at this moment I have a Dorothy the Dinosaur bandaide on it. (sshhhh don't tell the boys).

Does anyone know what it could be, if theres any treatment?
Or would it just be easier to get it cut off.

sounds like a little bit has splintered off it. Maybe soak it in tea tree oil and warm/hot water til it works out like a splinter? If not go see you GP.

    Gahh that sounds painful!

Why is it that toes always take so long to heal!

A month ago I scraped my toe running around on gravel running a muck with my other irresponsible teen friends(), It hurt but I kept running around being stupid. And now my toe is taking forever to heal!

You could have some infection in there, if it's got puss. Please don't dig around with a pin!

A friend stood an a sea urchin a while back and he had to have a operation to have the spines out of the sole of his foot Mind you, he ran a half marathon on it!

I know about slow healers. I tore tendons in my foot a month ago and it's still sore to walk, I limp which tends to put my hip out...I know it will take a while, but it's frustrating. Had acupuncture and osteo on it too.

Good to see you were having such fun at your 21st - don't grow up too soon
