    Default Runny nose and heater

    Hi all,

DD has a rotten cold and is basically a snot machine at the moment. I am doing all the usual stuff including using a vaporiser in her room.
As it's quite cold at night now I normally have a small column heater that I turn on low also.

Do you think having the heater on at the same time as the vaporiser would affect the vaporised air? I am worried it might dry it out and make having the vaporiser on pointless. But it's SO cold and I am also worried that the cold chill in the air will affect her breathing.

Any science-y types out there know the answer?

    TIA!

If its a column heater (oil heater i think they are also know as) then it is perfect, will work WITH the vapouriser. The column style heaters are the only ones asthmatic kids or kids with eczema should have because they leave the moisture in the air, not dry it out like traditional heaters do. I always have them on for my kids at the first sign of sniffles if the air is a little cold.

    Hope you feel better soon

ETA - put some vicks on her feet and cover with socks....dunno why it works but it does!
