Question TV ad "Children See, Children Do"

Just wondering if anyone knows anything more about that ad about children copying what they see the adults around them do. DH asked me tonight about the child actors and what emotional impact acting in that ad must have on those children.

I guessed they may have been given counselling or something but then I got to wondering if the ad makers have that level of responsibility. I mean they have one child throwing stones at a dog and another screaming at a baby etc.

I'm not accusing anyone of anything.... I am simply curious....

I haven't seen the ad you are talking about (though from the sounds of it I don't ever want to!), but I've seen the alcohol one where Dad sends his son inside to get him a beer and then in the next frame the son is now the Dad ordering HIS son inside to get him a beer.

I'd think that some things would be worse than others. Particularly like on Law & Order or something similar where they get the child to talk about being sexually abused.

I agree that some things would be worse than others. I have not seen that episode but I imagine talking about sexual abuse in an acting role would be horrible and confusing for a child

However the other examples such as the ad described and the beer one I'm guessing no emotional impact ? I dunno just basing that on my own kid, i would be happy for her to act in that type of role. I would of course explain to her we are acting, she knows what is actually right wrong so maybe it depends on the age of the kid. Even still, doesn't sound like a problem too me.
