    UTI?

    would be my guess.

Drink cranberry juice as it clears out the urinary tract.

Go see doc who will prob give antibiotics!

Could it be an urinary tract infection?

I got them a bit at that age, and I had no idea what it was until I eventually told mum. I felt like I needed to pee really bad but only a little would come out (obviously UTI) but I never got the stinging or burning feeling, just the confusing feeling of needing to go and not being able to.

I used ural but ural is essentially bicarb in water so you could try a little of that to neutralise the PH and drink loads of water.

Sounds like a UTI to me. The urge to urinate without the need to is a classic symptom. Have her drink a LOT of water to flush her kidneys and urethra, and if she doesn't improve overnight, take her to the GP.

UTI would be my first guess too.

Maybe pop down to the chemist and get some Ural or Hydralyte or similar. If it hurts I'd go for ural.

I'm sure that is all it is, I got a lot of them between about 8 and 12 years old.

So how has your daughhter gone?
It sounded like a UTI to me and the cranberry is a very good idea but I think at that age she should be able to take ural, it'll take the sting and the frequency out of it.

    Default Another suggestion

    Hi,
How did your daughter go? I have another suggestion, however it is a less likely one. First question, does she have her period yet? Don't need the answer, just for you to think about lol. Second, does she have trouble urinating because she feels the need to go, feels pressure, but it is like it is blocked? I had the exact same thing at her age, but I felt like I couldn't go to the toilet..elsewhere. They thought maybe I had cysts on my ovaries, or the second option, (which was what it turned out to be) was that I had what is called an imperforate hymen. The doctor has since told me that it is a common thing, however, not a regular thing, that can happen, so if girls of that age present with the symptoms of not being able to go to the toilet and do not yet have their period, it is usually one of the first things they check, I think it was by ultrasound for me. But this is something you are born with, not something that happens later.. I am not writing this on here to alarm anyone and certainly not to say she definitely has this, it may just be a uti, which is more likely. But, at least it is something you could suggest to the doctors, if you think it is a possibility? Hope that helps, rather than does damage
