Can I offer you some big It must be very different to what you are used to, and hard. On the one hand you have been dealing with the break down of your marriage, and on the other, you still have to be mum to your children.

With 10 children, you must sometimes feel pulled in all directions.

Do the older children help out with the younger ones?

I don't have as many children as you do, and am not doing it solo. BUT I do all of the financial stuff for our family, as well as look after the house and kids. I sometimes think my hubby is just one more child to take care of.

What exactly would you like some advice on?

That must be hard for you considering you just ended a 18 year marriage. There are some things you can do to keep the kids busy while you take a breather - How old are the kids? Maybe they can play games online, there are a few really good sites, they can even play together, go look at www.webkinz.com and www.disneyplayhouse.com those two sites are life savers. I hope you are coping okay and if you ever need to talk just PM me. Take care hun

I was a single mum of two and that was hard! I couldn't imagine 10.

Are there support systems around you that could help?

You do it because you have to.

    Default Large family

I have 7 kids, ages 15, 13, 8, 6, 4, 3, and 15months, been seperated for 10 months, and there is no easy answer for copping, it got so hard at one stage I was prepared to give it another go, and guess what I now due to have no 8, and still on my own. My 2 eldest who aren't my ex hubbys natural children and my ex don't get on, it's like a big jeolously hate thing between them, and thats the main reason we still seperated.

I tell you I cry most nights trying to work out a way of making things easier, and I haven't come up with the answer. The bills mount up, the kids don't help, and I don't have the support of a partner to get the kids to help. When things go wrong I'm on my own to deal with it all.

I wish you luck with 10 though.

    Default Another challenging day

I got one that has footy today 50kms from where we live, as we live in country, my cars broken down, I got a lend of a 5 seater and too many kids, trying to find someone to look after 2 of the kids so 1 can go to footy, mind ex drives a flash car, doesn't pay maintance and got 2 houses he rents, me I don't have enuff money left at end of each week after paying 1 rent. Knowing I'm out today I've been up to 3am this morning doing washing and housework, and there is still more looking at me, grrrrrr.

Mind I know ex is having sex with other women, yet he still got the cheek to beg me to come back to him, but in his next breath he makes it clear he don't want the 2 bigguns anywhere near him. I got 3 months to go before the next baby comes along.
Mum of 10 how are you going and coping.
