Default How does your bub drink from a bottle?

    Dear Ladies,
I am just wondering if it is only my bub or it is quite common as I want to find out if we are doing it the right way.
When I feed my daughter she takes her bottle right away when she is very, very hungry but she would eat only half of it.
However she is still hungry but she would eat the rest only if I burp her first and if I trick her with the dummy, dummy goes first and when she is holding it tight I switch it fast for a bottle again, she would eat the rest and sometimes asks for more…
But she would never drink the whole bottle in one go.
If she is not very hungry however already making her hungry noise (I feed her when she demands) we do dummy trick from the very beginning and repeat it again after she finished half of her bottle.
    I hope it makes sense
Our doctor is not concerned about it as long as she eats.
Maybe she does not like Avent teat on her bottle as she seems to be very fussy about her dummy and she is refusing any dummy but Avent for newborns and she is almost 5 month now?…
Does anyone’ bub eats in a similar manner?

My 1 week old is the same.

She has 100ml every feed, but will only drink 50ml or so and then has a break, and sometimes a burp before finishing off the remainder.

I think it is quite normal for FF babies and sucking to get their food would be tiring for both FF and BF babies, hence the break halfway through the bottle

PS We use NUK bottles and teats

Sounds like my 6 month old. Especially when really tired or hungry. She stops halfway through and cries and wont drink anymore unless I put her dummy in to calm her down a bit. I burp her and then I then swap it for the bottle and she finishes it

If she does it towards the end of her bottle I don't bother and assume she's had enough, but if only halfway through I do it.
