Question how to stop kitten peeing inside?

ok i got a new at the end of feb.
Its about 5 month old now and uses the kitty litter great. it will use it all day and night.
until we go to bed, then it just pee's where it likes.
in the clean washing basket- on the clean washing, on the couch, on DD's couch. on the dirty washing.

it can get out, ive left the outside lights on so it can see, ive moved the kitty litter inside. but it just pees everywhere else.

so we have had to lock it outside/in the laundry at night. At first i didnt mind but its starting to get quite cold at night and im worried cause it is only stil little it might freeze.

    ANY ideas?

the cat wont freeze, give it a nice warm bed or get one of those pet igloos and it will be fine, feral cats live in the outback and they surive fine,t hey thrive in fact, so he is going to be fine , dont stress about, better than ahving a house stinknig of cat wee, also make sure you are not using ammonia based products when you clean up the wee as this will make the cat want to urinate more

you can get cat spray that will actually deter the cats from scratching/peeing on things. i think it is called "cat away"? or something like that.

i would continue to lock it up and just get it a little bed thing to sleep on and maybe put a teddy/blanket inside and it will be fine.

You had the right idea about confining the cat to one room. If it has something nice to sleep on/in it will not be too cold at all. It needs to be in a smaller space with its litter tray for a while.
