Default He was ready, I wasn't. I have failed

I gave up today on TTing.

I'll probably regret it but when you find yourself in tears in the middle of woolworths it just isn't worth the stress.

I think you are being a little hard on yourself.

TT is something that takes time and soo much patience. You dont fail by missing a few times.
Both my children had accidents and most of them were my fault! We did well then i would quit, go back try again. Its pretty normal. They were both toilet trained in time for preschool and really thats all that matters.

Give yourself a break babe. You are pregnant and you were shopping NOT the most calm situation in the world!

You would not call your son a failure if he missed the toilet or wet the bed so dont do it to you either!

    Default He was ready

Actually if you were in tears in WWorths (and haven't we all been there?) maybe he wasn't entirely ready so don't beat yourself up.
There aren't many adults not toilet trained so don't lose faith.
That said - any tips on on a 3.5 year old missy who won't poo on toilet... "ah, no fanks"... would be more than welcome.

itnot a failure, you will do it one day. and in the meantime there is no shame in saying we aren't ready we'll try again another time. i say just give yourself a pat on the back for trying at all, then give yourself and him some time.

after my complete meltdown yesterday, Spencer woke up not happy about the nappy at all and we are persisting with the toilet taining.

We have had to go back to the early das of toilet training, before the hospital trip he was trained through the nights but last night he wet twice

    So fingerscrossed things work out!

Ta for all your support ladies.

It took us over 6 months to finally get there... go with what works for you and Spencer... and just keep in mind, there are plenty of 10 year olds who still have an accident here and there (and some older). It's not worth stressing about. Good luck

hey, the woman next to you at woolworths may have exactly the same problem! My older two were fine but my youngest daughter is nearly four and we have been tt for nearly 2 years! It has driven me mental! Wees are fine but she just won;t get the poos idea. Just take one day at a time - readin these posts has made me feel so much better that i am not the only mum in Australia with this problem!
