I have GD so from early on I am prepared by my ob to being induced earlier than my due date.
They've set the date to the 20th at 8pm.
My only problem is, my parents will be arriving from overseas on 21st early in the morning.
As mean as I may sound right now, I have to be honest. I do NOT want my mom to be around when I'm in labour. I'd rather get the whole delivery done with than her breathing down my neck on what she thinks I should do or how I should react during labour. She's already worked up and stressed out about this whole delivery thing from far away (calls me up and nag in my ears) that I can only imgaine how she'll be when I'm in labour. For God's sake, she even told me not to make sounds when I'm in pain. Hell, I'm gonna make any sound, grunts or grumble when I'm in PAIN!
I'm the only daughter and this is their first grandchild. Acceptable, but if I can get out of it, I will.
Anyway, I have only elected my husband to be my support person and no one else.
1. Regardless, if my parents arrive in the morning of the 21st and only if I'm able to, can they come in the labour room OR can I go out of the room to say hi for a while? If I'm not in too much pain, that is.
2. Is my husband allowed to stay with me the entire night in the labour room?
3. I've told my ob that I want a date that is earlier than 20th. She said she'll try. I suppose she did her best. Can I still go on and ask again if I can get an earlier date or would it sound like I'm pushing it with them too far? Don't wanna get on their nerves IYKWIM!
I am not happy with the induce date that it is actually stressing me out a little. I really want to deliver before mom arrives. Takes all the pressure and stress off me. She's not an easy woman to handle. Seriously.
