Ohhh I'm having flashbacks to primary school here.

What about one of those light straw/cane baskets with the handle on it and fill it with little eggs and those fluffy yellow chicks. Add some elastic under the chin to keep it on.

Even decorating a wide brim hat with easter stuff???

There is always the trusty wrap the carbboard around the head to make a tube, sort of like a crown and the girls could decorate it themselves(sorry haven't looked at there age).

this month's notebook magazine has a small article complete with templates... they just created paper flowers and used pipe cleaners to attach them to a straw hat... I remember at DD1's first parade a mum who made a paper mache egg, attached it to the hat, and filled it with those yellow chicks and small eggs... guess who one the prize

Thanks - I ended up buying a few things and we are making it this weekend. My idea isn't too bad so we shall see how it turns out - I think I might let my girls decide what they want to do and go from there.

    I've got the same problem..

Need 2 by thursday and just haven't got a clue.

Checked a few websites but they are way too difficult for me and I also don't have anything they require.

I just wish they would do it at kindy/pre school. I just haven't got the talent for things like that.

But it also hurts me to think of that they would be the only ones who don't have any, just because Mum stuffed up and isn't capable on doing one..

Coffee - trust me nobody is as artistically challenged as me but I managed

I ended up buying 2 of those sparkly hats you get in BigW (silver). I bought some pom poms that kind of resemble eggs, some bunny ears, some plastic mini eggs & some little chickens... slapped it all together and voila...... an easter hat the girls just loved....

    Good luck

Might have to have a look at this silver hats..

But I reckon Pom POms are a bit girlie for a boys easter bonnet but in the end it doesn't matter.

Thanks for the tip and believe me, I'm the worst person when it comes to art and craft things.

My boys have that def from me, they have about as much interest in those things as I have.

Did you find bunny ears in Big W as well? I've been looking for a template kind of thing, where i could just print out and then the boys could color it in but couldn't find anything.

Last year they made one at Kindy but it didn't last long til it got ripped apart..
