Baby name meaning miracle/thankful/blessing/God-given??

hi everyone!

DH and I are racking out heads for potential names for our bub...didn't realise it would be so hard!!

For us, our bub is truly a miracle and blessing from God. We had been trying for so long and was about to give up when it came!!! We cried when we first found out I was preggers and we still can't believe this amazing miracle/blessing that God has given to us!!!

So we would love a name that means something along those lines: miracle, blessing, thankful, God's gift, God-given etc.

Any suggestions?

btw..we don't know if it's a boy or girl yet...so names for boy AND girl most welcome!

Gabriel for a boy is a nice name, it means man of God, but is also the name of an Archangel. I also like Anya for a girl, I'm pretty sure that means "gift".

I knew a girl called Blessing in the UK, and I have always loved her name. She was from Nigeria originally and it is pretty common there.

Name meaning was important to me also.... I wouldnt use certain names because I didnt like their meaning.

But in the end our boys ended up with names that mean funny things put together.

I think a lot of names have that meaning - I know my name (Jacqueline) supposedly means "gracious gift of God", and I guess the masculine versions Jacques and James mean the same thing too ...

Asher means was prommised a life blessed with abundance
Gwen means fair, white ,blessed, holy
Elissa means from the blessed Isles

so i'll let you in on a lil secret- havent told anyone yet that this name is on our list if we have a girl-
Lulani, its polynesian and means the highest point of heaven. We are going to spell it Lilani though, just personal choice on how to pronounce the name.
For boys we named our son Ezekiel, which is strength of God, and Levi, which is joined in harmony.
