My best friend had one last year. I know of another woman who has too

This is my best friend's freebirth after caesarean story on her blog:

    http://april-adayinthelife.blogspot....nny-ryder.html

ETA: one of the great things about freebirth after caesarean is that there are no care-providers whom you have to jump through hoops for. No stigma around VBAC (even though VBAC is safe, it tends to come with stigma for many care providers), because you're your own care provider and of course freebirth doesn't mean unsupported, you can still have people there who are on the same page as you (my friend had her husband and me).

I've had a free birth while still breastfeeding my toddler who was born by caesarean 2 years before! It was an amazing experience! If anyone wants to talk about this stuff just email me (or message me or something...). I'm pregnant again and planning another freebirth. Still feeding my nearly 3 yo. Can't wait!

Wow, Im so glad I found this thread. When I was pregnant with DS, I was horrified at the idea of a HBAC, I was all for VBACs, now, before even TTC for #2, Im thinking I might like a FBAC, esp after reading some moving birth stories.

One question, where can you find birth pools? Even if I end up chickening out and going to hospital for a VBAC, I would still like to have the pool, as with DS, the only thing that gave me relief was the bath in the hospital, so having one at home, just to use as relief during the latent first stage would be awesome. Thanks for your help!

You can buy pools online I did and I have let a friend borrow it since and she had a lovely waterbirth at home too.
Choice is a social construct that makes people feel free even in the context of oppression and supports the status quo: materialism and patriachy.
