Default What would you do with 5m of upholstery fabric?

Well I've just been given 5m of upholstery fabric that my inlaws have had since the 80's. It's kind of cool in a retro sort of way, but not something I'd want my furniture covered in.

So I'm looking for some sewing projects that I can use it for. First job is going to be a tote bag, but what else? I need ideas!!! What would you do?

Ha ha, just wait until I tell hubby about that one! Thanks for the ideas guys, I'm liking the shopping bags, plus I've also decided on a cover for the sewing machine (old one is useless).

I'd make curtains. I love the old retro thick curtains that you use to be able to get and cushion covers

Frame up 1M of it for a wall feature if it goes with the decor. It's not as permenant as covering furniture then.

If you have padded dining chairs you could recover them or you could make a floor cushion or you could pick up a second hand art deco chair and recover it....
