So we're off to Fiji soon

ok, so in a couple of weeks, we'll be going to fiji, I just have a question for the ones that have taken babies to Fiji

DD is still having bottles, is it alright to use their water? or should I take bottled water with me? DD is on 3 bottles a day still, or can you buy bottled water there?

oh and also, taking food over there, i'm guessing there won't be any supermarkets around lol, so i'm thinking of taking snaks and stuff over for the kids, does anyone have any idea what I could take?

Ohhh have fun, I'm jealous!
When we went last year i was a bit naive. Just assumed we could buy anything we needed. You can't! ds2 was still having bottles but just with regular cow's milk. The first night we got there I asked where I could buy milk and the concierage asked do I want powdered or liquid. Liquid if I can

was my response. He went to a nearby vilage and got it from a store there for me and came back with a litre of UHT milk. No fresh stuff about

We all drank the water while over there and didn't have a problem, if you're using it to make formula bottles it would be fine to boil then drink to be sure. We had been drinking the water before we remebered that we probably shouldn't

There were grocery stores there last time i went (1 and a half years ago) if you are staying on the main island.
You can buy plenty of snacks for the kids and bottled water over there, i know i did.

we're staying on the mainland, but up north, as far as I know there isn't anything near us

, I don't want to be caught out and not take anything, and realise when I get there that there isn't any place to get stuff from,

I'd pack as much snack stuff as you can too. Best to be prepared in case nothing is available. We arrived at 6.30 at night. So I thought great we'll grab some dinner then go to the resort all will be rosy. When we got there nothig was open and I forgot about the 2.5 hours on the bus to get to the resort. By the time everyone got through customs got on the bus and we got there it was dinner at 10.30. Needless to say if I'd had some muesli bars or other sort of snack that will get through custons easily, the kids would have been happier. Be over prepared I say. Even some of the UHT formula would be handy for emergencies over there.

where did you stay Mitake? I think its 2 or so hours to where we're staying too

good idea with the uht stuff, might ring up the company and see if they even do uht ones

Kewe, we stayed down at the naviti on the coral coast, and up at the sofitel on denarau island.
Does your LO need special formula? I've only ever seen the UHT stuff in the S26 brand which may not help.

Bring alot of snack and milk if you can, best to have it there than run around looking for them. We didn't have children with us when we went, we stayed on an Island resort, they had a supermarket but very expensive. So take whatever you can fit in your luggage, at least you'll have peace of mind and can enjoy your holiday without having to worry about shopping.
Buy bottled water there, I'm not sure how safe it is to drink their tap water but you can buy bottled water anywhere. Though we did use tap water to brush our teeth and wash dishes etc.
