Default eventually do you not feel letdown?

or are you spose to feel it the while time throughout your breastfeeding journey.

im not sure if its stress or not enough water but last week i didnt get a letdown feeling.

so i took some blessed thistle as i have a bad history with fenugreek (at least i blame fenugreek) for mastitis.

and all last night and this morning my milks back to normal. feeling let down and everything, (i only took one.)

so im keeping up with my water now.

but i have to think.. rubys nearly 11months

did you always have a letdown or do you just not feel it after a while.. coz i got worried and took a blessed thistle.

    advice??

eta i probably have asked this b4 but i cant remember. (bad memory.blame my kids for that)

In the early days for me, letdown made my boobs feel itchy and i could feel it under my arms, my bub is 11.5 months and i dont have that same feeling anymore but i do feel the opposite breast get really heavy (if that makes sense) so i know let down is happening. So yep i kinda still get the let down but it is a different feeling than in the beginning. ( also the boob i am not feeding from leaks! i drink lots of water though, if i have not had enough water i can usually tell as i have no leak)

Mine would really really hurt like a thousand needles being jammed into my areola and breast LOL for a good 4 months, now I just get that uncomfortable strong tingling (unless I am over full then it hurts again!) and my bub is 7 months. I do make alot of milk though..

I only feel the letdown sometimes now (DS is 7mo), usually if I have gone a long time between feeds and my breasts are full. DS is one of those babies that snack on the breast so I usually don't ever feel really full unless we have been out somewhere during the day or the first morning feed. I noticed that when I feel a letdown the opposite nipple gets all lumpy looking in the areola and I usually leak a few drops too.

DS is 6mths and i still feel the letdown. It isn't painful or anything but I was kind of hoping not to have to be wearing breastpads forever

I've never felt my letdown, I just don't feel it! Only way I know when it happens is because DS starts gulping

I also have never had uncontrolable squirting if DD/DS pulled off during letdown...i'm just wierd!
