    Smile Help! I'm new here!

recently moved to kenthurst area from the UK, 19 years old and one 4 month old son. Can anyone recommend mum and baby groups in the area? Post-natal fitness classes? Anything just to get me out of the house while my partner is at work all day. A little adult conversation would be much appreciated, anyone of similar age or similar situations im very open to offers to meet up for lunch / chat. thanks xxx

    Hi morgansmummy - welcome!

I'm not sure where the kenhurst area is (which state is it in??) but I just wanted to say hi and hope you're settling in well.

You might try calling your local community health centre, or perhaps looking in the local paper - ours lists when playgroups are on in our area so maybe your will too?

Also, things like Gymbaroo are great for meeting other mums (just google it - there are loads of centres) or Australian Breastfeeding Association - they have lots of meetings, morning teas and get togethers.

It might even be worth just popping down to your local play equipment/park when you see other mums around and introducing yourself!!

Anyway, wishing you all the best in finding some activities!! And welcome to Australia!!
Be the change you want to see in the world.

Hi, Sorry I can't help you with things in your local area but just wanted to let you know that there is a section further down the forum for New South Wales mums which has threads for different parts of NSW. If you post there you should get lots of responses from mums in your local area. I use the South Australian one lots for new info Good Luck, I hope you find the info your looking for.
