Default Please tell me I'm not the only one!

Do your bubbas hit, kick, pinch, pull hair etc etc?

All DD seems to do lately is cry, spew on me, pull my hair, poke me in the eye, pinch every available bit on skin on my face and neck, kick me, pull my ears and earrings etc etc...

    I'm just having a whinge

But if anyone has ANY ideas on how to stop it, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SHARE IT
When your baby is all grown up will you really regret holding them so much, or regret not holding them more?

My bub is 7 months and hits me all the time.
Once she gave me a blood nose - she stuck her finger up my nose then twisted. It really hurt and it really bled.
I don't wear jewelery because she grabs it and has already broken one of my necklaces.
She tries to pull my hair but thankfully it is short and harder to grab.

You are not the only one - and i have no idea how to stop it.

    How's the serenity?

DD1 used to pinch my face at that age. She stopped after a while. I think it's just a texture thing. They don't know they are doing wrong. I used to put her hands down and say 'no touch' Although she'd laugh most of the time but as she got older, she started to understand that it hurt mummy.
You can't discipline them at that young age. They don't really know that it's wrong or it hurts you. The best thing you can do is put them down when they do that or remove them from the situation. They'll catch on eventually.
Remember, most bad habits at this age, are just a phase.

DD is 6 mths, sometimes when I'm BF her she likes to touch my face esp my nose and once she has it, she squeezes my nose real hard!! Yep I've been kicked where my c-section scar is , scratched too many times & when I'm trying to put her clothes on she will pull my hair.
Nothing really to fix all of the above, just reminde yourself that there are others out there going thru the same thing.

Thanks for the words of encouragement

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I've tried the whole, 'Gentle with mummy' and holding her hands until she lets go. She thinks it hilarious I'll tell her 'gentle' and put her down and she'll start laughing

    Hopefully it'll pass soon

Wait til you have a toddler and a baby. It gets worse!!! Not only do they do these things to you, but they also do it to each other (sometimes accidental, sometimes on purpose).

I get pinched, hit, scratched, hair pulled, kicked, spewed on and wee-ed on. But I still love them to bits.

Definately not the only one! My DS is now 10 months, and I'd love to say it gets better... but added strength just makes it worse. Bloody noses, yep, whacked in the eye so that everything goes fuzzy for a few seconds... done that too... umm... he actually surprised me when he gently took out an earring that I had on - that was a lot scarier
Is she to the patting stage yet? Phoenix has been patting everything for a few months - no is only just startnig to take affect
