Question Can what you eat make you unbelievably lethargic??

I think I already know the answer to this however I am constantly exhausted like I have never slept...

Im exersizing, I work quite a bit, I've just upped my water to 2 litres a day, Im sleeping okey, but I am also devoted to chocolate and trying to cut it down quite a huge deal as its the only thing I can think of thats making me so tired (aside from the fact that its not exactly good for me and my grocery bill is through the roof)...

Can this really be the cause of my exhaustion though??

P.s- I've also just had blood tests done on thyroid problems, iron defficiencies, anemia etc...

yes. carbs do this for me. I have recently cut out carbs and even on very little sleep, I was feeling great. Last night I had some organic vege pizza,...and within an hour, I was exhausted. carbs be gone!

Absolutely! Think of how everyone feels after eating a big Christmas dinner, you all sit around, undo the top button and have a snooze (well you would if you could).

It can be quantity of food or the actual food. Foods that your body finds more difficult to digest will draw on energy resources. For example red meat takes quite of bit of resources for your body to digest.

    Indeed,..

I find that I am at my best after eating fresh fruit, green veges and if I am hungry, a can of tuna in a salad is great!

Yep, that's because fresh fruit and veggie is very easily digestible. Don't forget that chocolate will give you a sugar rush which you will then come down from and can make you feel tired. (That is, it's not the digestion of the chocolate that makes you feel tired, it's 'coming down' from the sugar rush - anything with a high GI factor will do this.)

I would be more inclined to think that it may be what you arent eating..... Do you eat breakfast? are you eating a wide ranges of f&v? yogurt, dairy ect. i have found small things like adding some seeds to my fruit and yogurt in the morning helps. If you love chocolate have it but cut it down, but maybe just hAVE A FREDDO OR FUNSIZE BAR A DAY.(Opps not yelling, just pressed caps by accident)

& eating it constantly would be a constant down in energy probably?? I could basically say I have chocolate for breakfast lunch and dinner... Along with fruit and other healthy meals inbetween.

Thats what I thought, but Im still eating fruit and veg etc along with milk, yoghurt and cheeses... The only thing I can think of is the outrageous amount of chocolate... about a block and a half a day.... really didn't wanna admit how much lol.
