Default Casual Sex - morality issue

i was wondering, do people think casual sex is actually immoral?

I have a few friends who are quite happy having casual sex (as in, with people they aren't dating - not necessarily one night stands). Obviously i have other friends who don't as well

I'm just wondering if age plays a part in the opinion.

Casual sex is fine, as long as the other party is treating you well and valuing you as a human being. Casual sex makes people feel bad if one of the people is treated as a thing, a piece of meat or just a booty call.

I think it's important that the other person at least values you enough to respect you.

No I dont think it is immoral.

It is a personal choice who we sleep with, none of any one elses business.

I dont think age has much to do with either

    For ME ...
    Yes it is.

I take sex pretty serious and see it as a major trust and loving experience.

I could not casually sleep with soemone as its just to big a deal for me.

I love that I have not been with that many and take pride in the fact I can name and speak to the ones I have.

Sharing my body is a MAJOR thing for me..so yeah.
i cant judge other morals or ethics as I have no idea what it is like to think their way.
I am a weapon of massive consumption, Its not my fault its how I'm programmed to function.

No, age doesn't technically have much to do with it, but i was wondering if women who were around in the bra burning days might be more pro-casual sex than women who weren't?

I have a family friend were the daughter decided not to have sex until she got married, and her mother was almost offended, because she saw it as a slap in the face for all the work the women had to do to get our society to a point where a woman was able to have sex with whomever, when ever she wanted iykwim.

As long as all parties are fine with it emotionally, no it is not immoral.

As long as mutual respect plays apart then no, no issues of morality regarding any consensual sex acts of any kind as long as both parties are in mutual agreeance and value each other as people first and foremost.....

Everyone's internal compass and view of morality is going to be different.... what one person feels comfortable with another may see as obscene, so it's never going to be a black and white statement....

And as for age, well I think maturity plays a bigger part than calender age..... with experience you gain insight, with insight you develop your own moral compass.... so that's bound to develop and change over time.... in whatever direction that may be.....

Ok complete honesty - I can't stand not having sex.

I'm not ready to commit to anyone, and I have a single male friend, so I really can't see the big deal.

We use protection (in fact, I "double up"), I trust him that he has no STIs, and if I ever fell pregnant, I would completely take responsibility for it.

Princess - I can name & talk to all of my previous sexual partners too, whether they be previous boyfriends or FWB

I would say it depends on the situation.

I have had this kind of relationship, funnily enough I am now with him seriously and expecting our children :P. This was a few years ago now though.

For me I would say no. I have done it and don't think any worse of myself. One night stands are a whole different kettle of fish.

If it is a booty call though and one feels used then it is immoral IMO.

I don't like to judge other people though. What they do is their own beeswax.
