Default Flannelette sheets - any good?

Now that the cooler weather is here am considering getting some flannelette bedsheets. I've never tried them before - are they really that much warmer and do you have to get the exspensive ones or are the cheapies ok??

Much, much warmer. I bought some expensive ones and the colours ran terribly. I then bought some cheaper ones and they were much more durable.

I bought the cheap no frills one's from Kmart - big mistake!

They were terrible Fluff balls on everything, and I washed them maybe 4 times and still huge fluff balls coming off them, so I ended up throwing them out.

Invest in something a bit more expensive and you should be right. They definately keep you warmer. We used them for camping and we were snuggley warm.

I so wish I could have Flannelette sheets they are nice and warm, but the first night I sleep in them I get a real stuffy nose, after that I get bleeding noses ! Weird but true, runs in the family!! When Aden was yonger I put him in flannelette pjs, we had a couple of really bad nights with him, one night I took them off just put cotton winter pjs on and he slept !!! Can have flannelette bottoms but not sheets or tops!! Anyway back to your orginal question flannelette sheets are great if your not wierd like me

You really should get some. They are so cosy and I do not ever get cold at night.

I love my flanny sheets in winter. They do make it much warmer and they are great to snuggle in. Every winter I also put flanny sheets on my DD cot mattress. I might go out and buy another set tomorrow...........
