Hi; My name is Sam and I am a mother of a 14 month old baby girl called Holly, who I breastfed until a couple of months ago as she was a sick premature baby. I really believe in the amazing properties of breast milk following this experience.
During all of the stressful times my mother has been there to support me, which has really helped me get through the tough times. However, in September last year my lovely mother was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour, which is devastating!
She has undertaken both Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy since then and will continue chemo once a month. I have also found a couple of complementary medicines which have been recommended to me by a cancer charity in the UK where I live. Recently I have been in contact with an immunologist in Sweden who made a discovery of a protein complex in the breast milk that induces apoptosis in or kills tumour cells, in particular the glioblastoma tumour in which my mother has. This is only in the early stages and has not been developed into a medicine as yet, but great results have been reported by people who have tried breast milk and it is also reported to strengthen the immune system.
Unfortunately I live in the UK, which makes everything very difficult. I am endeavouring to reinstate my milk and come home to help my mother, however in the meantime I am appealing to anyone who has any spare milk who would like to donate it to my mother please email me on mum@hillside.me.uk. Not long ago I had loads of milk in the freezer that was going to expire and I tipped down the sink. I didn’t realise at the time that it could help someone.
I know this is a strange request, but when you are faced with something like this you will try anything.
Kind Regards;
Sam
