    Default sleep over

My ds 13 months is going for his first sleep over at my parents on saturday night. They are excited but i am feeling nervous already. They have minded him overnight here but i am not sure how he will go in the porta cot even though he is familiar with their place. I suppose i am wanting reasurance from you lovely bhs. is it too young or am i just experiencing the mummy guilts?

    Mumma Guilt
I feel the same way when I have to leave my kiddies, Will they sleep, cry, be upset ?? All that. There has never been any dramas but you can't help feeling worried anyway.
I have to do it for the next 2 weekends and dread it well in advance
He will be fine (and you too)

My ds had his first sleep over at my mums when he was almost 12 months old. I was too sick to have him and dh was away. Perhaps thankfully I was too sick to worry, but he did really well and he's had plenty of sleep overs since then. I still don't like the idea of separation, but the freedom of a night without him is great

My DS was just a bit older than yours and I felt the same way.

He is alway (without fail) a perfect angel for my parents. He'll have so much fun, get so much attention from them, he'll be fine.

The first time is always so hard... Subsequent times are difficult too, but made easier once you know how much fun he has. It's important for his relationship with his grandparents and yours with your DP!

    Have a great night out!
