    Question Green Enviro Bags...

Well, the majority of mine are actually Red Enviro Bags accumulated from too many trips to Liquorland

I honestly try to remember them each time I do groceries. After trying to remember bub's nappy bag, bub's blanket for shopping trolley kiddie seat, some clip on toy to keep bub occupied while in shopping trolley kiddie seat...oh then don't forget your wallet, phone, car keys etc etc. Oh yeah, then there's bub to grab after you've loaded the car up

Occasionally, I do admit, some times I forget them and I end up with a heap of plastic bags.

I don't just throw them out though. I do use them for things like wrapping up stinky nap naps (which uses up alot of bags). We also line our bins with them and keep them in a handy canvas 'Bag Bag'.

Am I the only slack *** that forgets their enviro bags?

What other things could I use the bad ol' plastic groceries bags for?

Hah, you so aren't the only one that forgets them! I remember saying something about this very thing at a gathering once and everyone there forgot their green bags frequently. It's so funny, I'll often get to the car then remember them and have to run back inside. And then a lot of the time I leave them in the car once I've gotten there!

There's a few solutions, which I haven't been able to do yet - such as making sure you put the green bags straight back into the car once you've unpacked. Or leaving a little note somewhere discreet but visible to remind you to take them in. I think once it becomes a habit, it's not so hard to forget.

As for the plastic bags, I know that Coles sometimes have big bins that you can put them in. Not sure how the recycle them but they do! I think at one stage they had some type of project where they made big plastic shopping trolleys out of all the bags (a few years back). I just keep them around for trash and used them alot for DS's disposable nappies (woo one environmentally unfriendly object inside another!)

I used to always forget my green bags, but have been good for the last few years

I always keep an Envirosax bag in my nappy bag for small purchases. Nearly every time I buy something, I put it on the counter in front of my purchase, look the cashier in the eye and clearly state, "This is my bag". They then proceed to put my purchases in a plastic bag

WE have a stash of plastic bags....we still seem to accumulate them...I have no idea how. I use them to pick up the dog poo.

I'm always buying new ones because i forget when i just run in
but i leave mine in the boot of the car just put every thing straight back in the trolley then pack it my self at the car(to many arguments with the young check out kids that yes its a strong bag and wont break like the old ones but i cant carry it full of cans of backed beans)
but i kinda got ****ed off with the whole scraping normal shopping plastics as i use them all the time for lots of different things not to mention lining the kitchen bin
so now i have to buy plastic bags to throw away honestly i haven't reduced the amount of plastic i do throw just changed it
i think we should have gotten rid of the plastic bag and gone for the brown paper!!!

I don't drive, so I just leave em in the bottom of my pram so they are always there. (I still forget to acctually grab them out from the pram at the checkout though sometimes )
When I get things home delivered I get them to use them also.

    I don't NEED enviro bags...

I WANT checkout operators at Coles/Woolies to pack my groceries in plastic bags. I NEED these plastic bages to then recycle and put my garbage in.

However, I DO use enviro bags for swimming lessons and travels which simply need a change of clothes, nappies etc.

But I only have 3 enviro bags to date. All of which get used frequently. Just NOT for groceries LOL...

Just remember that you'll have to start paying for your plastic bags soon, so be prepared for that.

What i used to do, was pack all the green bags inside another one, then jam DD's toy, drink and blankie inside the green bag (well, it's an insulated blue one) and zip it up. Then i just had to carry my handbag and the bags/stuff all together, rather than having 50 things to try and remember.

Wow! Really??? Is that just the flimsy plastic grocery bags or other bags as well like the thicker bags you get from allot of fashion shops????
