Its summer and you are thirsty.

If you want to drink that much, there is no reason why you shouldn't.

If you weren't thirsty, it wasn't hot and you just drank it because you thought you should then maybe yeah, you should cut down.

    But that's not the case.

Anywhere from 3-5L. I have a 1.5L bottle I refill a couple of times a day. Some days I need to drink more, and I might have another thru the night otherwise I wake with a headache.

Wow 5 ltrs, that is alot. I have read somewhere that you shouldn't drink more than 3 ltrs unless you are very active and really sweating.

When I want I can easily drink 5-6 litres (It's not often though), I don't know if it's bad but it certainly makes me feel alot better after and as a plus it improves my skin 100%. When your thirsty you drink right

There is actually a condition called hyponatremia (also known as water intoxication), which is basically the action of diluting the salts in your blood stream to the point whereby your body can't function anymore and vital organs start shutting down. Its been known to kill ravers (thirst is a common side effect of ecstasy and other party drugs) and atheletes, who drink excessively after marathons in particular. It isn't common, but its incredibly dangerous.

If you're thirsty, sweaty, and drinking THAT much fluid, it'd probably be a good idea to drink a sports drink, like gatorade or powerade - or even a fluid replacement preparation like hydrolite or gastrolite, to ensure that you have enough eloctrolytes as well as fluids. Too LITTLE salt is much more dangerous than too much (in occassional doses).
