Best dishwasher detergent

I was wondering what everyone uses in their dishwasher. i used to use finish powder and then finish balls....now I use morning fresh tec tabs as they are cheaper and everything sparkles!!

What do others think in terms of cleaning power and price?

we swap between morning fresh tabs and finish tabs depending what is on special. I find finish get 'cooked on' stuff more often but the morning fresh smell better and crockery is shinier.

I use Finish power powder.
My Dishwasher motor blew up & when the guy come to replace the motor he said it happens all the time because people use to much powder. He said you should use a level table spoon of powder and he also told me not to use the tabs as they contain far to much powder.
Just thought I would share my info, not sure what to think but I do what he said anyway

Oh forgot to say if I don't have a load of really dirty stuff, mainly glasses and plates etc I will break a tab in half. A friend of mine's mother runs her every second time on the hottest cycle with no detergent and say's it is fine. I guess all that hot water would get most stuff clean???

I have to admit that I use plain old Coles "Reliance" 3 in 1 tablets and they work like a dream.... and so much cheaper!

I niw use morning fresh tablets. I have had the coles brand, but after using the finsish for a few months, then when the morning fresh ones come out, the coles brand ones seemed not as good, things just didnt seem to get clean as much (well the pots and pans that it, and the glasses seemed to loose thier sparkle)

I use the morning fresh powder - you get SO many more washes out of the powder as opposed to the tablets. Very economical
