As with previous posts - that doctor is all kinds of bad names we can't mention here and his story is total bollocks.

I'm o neg and my DH is o pos - my first child is o pos like hubby and my second is o neg like me

Had the anti d's during and after first pregnancy as a precaution and then they did my bloods with DS 6 weeks ago but because he's neg like me didn't have to have any.

At NO STAGE did anyone ever say I couldn't have more children.

Good luck with your pregnancy and any future bubs too

What ELSE did this doctor have to say?????????????

I'm seriously picking my jaw up off the ground!

PLEASE please tell me you ARE going to make a complaint? He is just SO unprofessional I am in complete shock. I'm beginning to wonder if he's not just someone who wandered in off the street, and donned a white coat!

I agree with the others find another doctor.

I'm b neg a and my partner is a pos - luckily all three kids take after their dad which means the girls dont have to have the extra stress when/if they have kids.

Had anti d once for early bleeding with the first pregnancy then once after she was born. The second time just after she was born. The third time had it with an early bleed, then at 28 and 32 weeks and again after birth.

Was never told it would be an issue to have more children.

    Enjoy your pregnancy

    My mum is 0-

she had 5 children all positive blood groups.

she just had to have needles after the first one.

i have 3 daughters with negative blood groups. they will be taught by me what to do .. you need to find a better doctor.

I am A+ but the fathers of my kids have all been A- so i have lots of bubs with negative blood groups.

That 'doctor' (I use the term lightly) needs to go back to med school. Think of the antiD as a buffer between your negative blood & your partner's positive blood that may have been passed onto your baby. I've never been told I could only have one baby because of my blood type, it's complete bollucks

Both DH and I are negative bloodtypes yet my first two pregnancies I was still advised to have anti d after the birth. Third time around I questioned them about it and was told it is given as standard because so many woman lie about the "real" fathers. I just politely refused it after that cause I'm sure my conception was not from another man :-)

If you have anti D early in pregnancy because of threatened miscarriage you should not need another dose until around 28 weeks and after birth, which is standard for normal pregnancy. It means your next pregnancies start on a clean slate just like the first. Chances of still having antibodies after anti d are very minimal.

It's interesting that before the 70's, when anti d was developed, some USA states actually banned people of opposite blood types marrying.

It is time for women to take back their births and give themselves and their babies the best chance at a miraculous start. Birth, or its effects—both good and bad—last a lifetime.

really? thats insane. How are they supposed to know? I know one of the first things I didn't think to ask my dp was "so are you a positive blood group?"
I'm just glad my dd has Pos blood so she will never have to go through this.

im o-, have 4 kids all o+, never been an issue.. had lots of bleeds with my 3rd, but my 4th was my easiest...

dr is an a$$.. besides even if it came down to blood work, he wouldnt know till this baby was born.. and what its blood type is... even then your body wouldnt have an issue carrying your blood type... how ever none of this matters thanks to anti d
