False NAB Emails. BEWARE

You giving you all a heads up. I received an email today from a source pretending to be the National Australia Bank looking for security details. ie password & username. I have contact NAB & been told they never ask for these details over email & it is a scam.

So you have been warned if you received this email. BIN IT.

. I always delete these ones now, as i once had the fake COMM one....I didn't reply, as i thought it was suss at the time. Luckily....I'm with NAB too though, so i appreciate the warning.

Yep I got that AND the commonwealth bank one too.

So I guess if you get e-mails from ANY bank asking for your details, don't do it!!

I got the commbank one too. I just laughed and deleted it cause im not even a commonwealth bank customer

That's how I knew it was suss too, we aren't with NAB. We got that one first, so we were already clued in when we got the Comm one(DP is with Comm).

I just deleted mine, just this minute. I didn't really read it but thought to myself, what the heck are they doing sending stuff to this account? And deleted it. Thanks goodness for instincts.

For users of ebay and PayPal - we're getting emails in much the same vein. So beware!

I've gotten weird ones from people on ebay lately saying how they're gonna report me for blah blah blah, and i hadn't even dealt with them! I just blocked and bounced them.

I've also got a couple from paypal saying how my access has been set to limited as they think there was a security breach, and always i go to the proper site instead of clicking on the link....just to be safe.

Yeah, those are the ones I'm talking about!

The PayPal ones, I found out - the real ones are always addressed to your name ie Dear Joe Bloggs, whereas the fake ones aren't, they're just addressed to Dear PayPal user.

We've gotten the same sort of ones from ebay too - we've reported them to the security centre, I don't know that they do anything about them, but they can tell you if they're real or not.
