    Default Hmmmm .. not sure

Not sure if anyone is awake to read this but will give it a go....

I have been having bad diarrhea for about 2 hrs along with BAD stomach cramps (not dissimilar to food poisoning)...they dont seem to be any regular time apart but they do ease and start up again.

I took a shower but needed to get out as I needed to toilet - do you think this could be the start of labor or just food poisoning ???

(with DS my water broke so this is all new to me)

Sounds like it could be the start of it. Are you nauseous as well? that would indicate mre food poisoning to my mind.

You'll know soon enough anyway. Got your bag packed?

What did you have for dinner?

Maybe try and have a grated apple for the runs if you can stomach it.

No other signs? I had a cup of tea and got the runs when I went into labour with my last two, but then I already had contractions or waters had broken.

    Keep us posted

I will be around for a few hours, so you can chat to me

I only found out about grated apples for the runs after I had kids, they are great, (as opposed to grate) but you have to leave the skin on. Apparently it absorbs all the liquid or something (sorry TM!!)

    Hope you feel better soon

    Thanks so much LAstCenturyMum ...

I got back to sleep and feel alot better this morning although still a little ill and cramping is there but nothing regular (think it is food poisoning)

Was nice to have someone to calm my nerves last night ... I really dont know what it feels like to go into labor as it went from nothing to all in last time.....

I have had the same thing and thought the exact same thing as you.

I thought about food poisoning but realised that DH had the same thing and was fine... then thought maybe my body just didn't like it....

I did read somewhere that you do sometimes get like this when you get closer to your due date, as your body is getting ready????

    Who knows.. ..

Lets just add it to the list of one of the many wonderful things that pregnancy brings.. haha
