    Exclamation the earth at risk from asteriods

    are we in danger?
    good to know there might be something put in place to attempt to protect us

    When i saw the title i thought you were joking!
    Hopefully we wouldn't know what hit us but good too know that hopefully earth won't follow the same fate as all those movies like Deep Impact.

    yeah you cant trust me anymore
    you know some people think that movies and some tv shows are to "condition" us for the future

    Do you ever do what I just did and mis-read a word and get THE WRONG impression?????

    Well I do, but nothing has ever caused as much of a shock horror responce....

    I thought you started a thread entitled "the earth at risk from hemroids"

    i thought it said steroids

    I think some sorta warning thing would be good but I cant really see them being able to stop a big one. We get hit by heaps of small meteroites which burn up so there is always the chance of a bigger one hitting us.

    It is certainly within the realm of possibility. There is a lot floating around space and Earth has been hit by huge meteors before. Not a great deal we would be able to do about it though.
