Smile Can I use a sling with my 8.9kg baby?

When DS can home from hospy we had a travel system with capsule that worked well and we also had a babybjorn which was fine.

Now that DS is 18months and 8.8kg I am finding that I just cannot handle carrying him in the BBjorn anymore due to his weight.

Do you sling you baby that is this weight and what in?

I realise I will still have to try and carry 8.9kg around lol but I am hoping for something to make it easier.

    TIA!

I carry my 2 year old who weighs 12kg in a mei tai. No worries at all. I also use a ring sling from time to time.

I have a bubba moe, and DS is really heavy in that, it kills my back.

The ergo on the other hand . I have carried 15kg DD in that no worries. They are GREAT!

I can carry Baylee in the home-made carrier just fine. Similar style to Mei Tai but tailored not to cut into my shoulders.

ETA: Not difficult to put on at all. You tie the bottom two straps around your waist, hold bub on the front and throw the top two straps over your shoulders, cross them over and tie at the front.
It does take a teensy bit of practice but is easy.

I have the same thing. My bub is younger but Ive read that its great right into toddler-dom.

The tie is a bit tricky at first but youtube has easy to follow videos to teach you.
I just got 4m of strechy cotton material (but I think they reccomend more liek 5-7m) then cut its width down to 30cm..

It only came to about $16 as the material was on special and is just great.

    jusearch youtube for 'moby wrap'.
