    Default Officially a SAHM!!!

Today i plucked up the courage and made my decision not to go bak to work.

My maternity leave was due to end next month and i decided that i cant bear to go bak to work and leave my DD in someone elses care. So i went to work and handed in my resignation.

It feels funny. i have had the same job for 6 years. sorta feel a little bit sad too. Doesnt matter now i have the best job in the entire world. And no pay packet would ever compare to the rewards i will get with being with my DD all the time.

    Good for you!!
I did the same thing a couple of months ago, just couldn't bear having to go back to work,so with 2 weeks to go before my maternity leave ran out I went and told my boss of 15 years. He took it rather well.
You are right,we do have the best jobs in the world.

Good onya Claire if that's what you feel is the right choice for you and your bub! I worked in child care for a long time, and my plan was to take my little boy back to work with me at the centre when he was 8 months old. I just couldn't do it, even though I was gonna be there (in another room). He is almost three now and I am still happy about my decision.....these precious little people will be gone forever in a few years IYKWIM!

No job in the world can compare to being a SAHM or WAHM. My eldest is now 7 and at school and I am grateful every day that I was here at home with him whilst he grew. Same with DD and again now with our DS#2. I fluff around making a dollar here and there from home and am satisfied with that-I couldn't begin to imagine putting any of my bubs into full time care. I am privileged to be in this position!

    Congrats!!!

... that's a decision I'll be needing to make myself in the coming months (after being in my job for 11 years). We all know that being a mum is such a rewarding job, but being a SAHM can still be such a big decision to make ... best of luck to you all!
