Default Do you give your toddler alcohol?

Quite a number of parents I know give their toddler sips of their wine/beer...

So I want to know - do you give your toddler alcohol? How do you feel about it? Do you think its OK?

For me personally, DH and I don't drink at all. Even if we did, there is no way in the world I would ever give some to DD, not until she was at least 15/16. Yes - I know the legal age is 18 but i think at 15/16 a sip every now and then doesn't hurt. But not for a toddler...
When your baby is all grown up will you really regret holding them so much, or regret not holding them more?

No I don't really think it's a good idea, I have had members of the older generation try to give my children sips. They act shocked when you don't want your 6 mth old to have a sip of beer.
I can't go to bed, someone is wrong on the internet.

If I knew anyone who did that to their child, I'd personally report them to DOCS

No way! His growing brain does NOT need alcohol. Mum was at our place a few weeks ago and let DS have a sip of her red wine [without asking us ] and I was pretty annoyed when DH told me (I wasn't in the room when she did that).

OML this horrifies me the thought of it
My parents are continental....drinks with each meal type culture thing, and even we weren't given alcohol even sips of it as toddlers. I know we were young when they would give us our first taste but definitely were at school by then.

    There is just no need.
