    Post The 2ww

    Hello everyone,

I have a question about the 2ww.... I have a friend who is half way through her 2 weeks and so far no AF (great news!) but I'm just wondering if you can get your AF when you're doing the 2ww or do they give you hormones to supress it and she'll just have to wait until the preg test. This might be a silly or simple question but I don't really want to call and talk to her and say the wrong thing or ask stupid questions because I imagine it's quite a difficult time. Also, is the preg test one you'd buy at the chemist or is it a blood test?

    Looking forward to some answers!

It really just depends on the person and what treatment she is having. Some people get injections while others get cream during the 2ww. We had the cream and i did get some break through bleeding. We also did a Home pregnancy test but we also had to go into hospital and have a Blood test to confirm the results. Hope this helps abit

Hi Runningmum, it is so nice that you are concerned for your friend!!

Like lilmissymoo said, it depends on the treatment you are having. I got my period after my blood test when I was on pessaries (cream). With my other failed cycles I got my period around 10 days after my ET, so 4 days before my BT. Your friend will be given a blood test at her clinic. Hope it helps!!!

Thanks, yep, that explains it. I'll keep my fingers crossed for her now.
