Default Has anyone gone away without there young child?

Me and my than husband will be going to Singapore for our honeymoon for 10 days and leaving my 8 month old with my mum and sister. Has anyone done this? He is clingy but does LOVE my sister. He is 5 months old at the moment. We co-sleep at the moment and my mum would do the same, she co-slept with all of us so she does know all about it.

I am interested in hearing other's opinions on this topic as I have also booked a holiday without my 19mth old. She is going to stay with Nanna for 10 days while we go to Thailand. I will be 4.5 months pregnant with our second, and am unsure whether to book her ticket or take advantage of Nanna's offer.

I think that I am okay with leaving her for that amount of time, but that is now, how will I be when I have to say goodbye to her

I have friends who started leaving their children for overseas holidays at 1 yr old and they said it was hard to leave, but well worth the opportunity to travel on your own. Having already taken her on overseas holidays twice already, I know that she is capable of the travel, but not sure if I can cope being pregnant this time round.

Well I can give you my opinion now as I did end up leaving my son with my mum. He cryed ALOT the first 2 days as he obviously didnt know where i was being 8 months, after that he started to forget a bit and was ok, she actually got him sleeping through the night and he was a terrible sleeper with me, waking up 5-10 times a night, so that was a feet in itself. I was Breastfeeding him and she fed him formula as he took that fine. We continued with the formula when we got back as he is a much happier baby on it. I was in tears when I handed him to my mum (he was asleep luckily because if he put his hands out and wanted to come back to me im not sure i could of left him there)
I missed him terribly and thought about him everyday but i really enjoyed my honeymoon and the time with my husband was great. I messaged my sister a couple of times a day asking how he was going which was reasurring. He was fine when I got back and still knew me.
I say go for it, the time alone will be great for you both especially seems you will have another one soon enough and are unlikely to get a chance like this for some time.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask me!
