Default what can i do to help get this contractions going??

I need to know what things i can do to get my contractions to stay?

My DF and I did the deed this morning, and ever since I’ve had the dull ache all day... from about 4.00 onwards started have either really strong Braxton’s or could be contractions….they are hurting and gripping... but over the past few hours they don’t seem to be getting any more intense.... seems to have a few little ones.. Then a bigish one.... they are enough to get my attention but not enough I'm in a great deal of pain just really uncomfortable….

So what could I do to get them to pick up a little?

Any suggestions.... I’ve been sitting on a Swiss ball most of the arvo rocking....

I've heard that nipple stimulation is a good one to get things started

A bumpy car ride? Some light exercise?

Nothing really worked when I tried with my second pregnancy, but maybe they will for you?

    Good luck

Do the deed again and try to keep 'still' for a little while afterwards IYKWIM.

Otherwise, go to bed and rest, try to get your 'last' (?) good nights sleep and try again in the morning!

There's lots of things you could try, as suggested above, but don't forget that if you speed up the process your labour may take a little longer. A cervix that has been left to ripen naturally in its own time is far better and it often makes the rest of your labour, when it happens, easier, since half the work is already done.

Don't think this will help but the midwife at my ob appt. last week told me that it takes almost a full cup of hubby to get things moving properly and ofcourse the best way in is to, uh, ingest!
DH thought he was about to be the luckiest man alive when I told him but for some reason I started looking for other alternatives.

I'm 3 days over and back to see ob tomorrow but have also booked in to get some acupuncture done in the arvo... from what I've researched it doesn't mean anything will happen within minutes/hours but it starts the natural process and will hopefully keep ob from using anything synthetic.

Good luck... to you and DH.
