Default stinky newborn bumgenius, but toddler's are fine?!?

I have both my 5 week old daughter and my 21 month old son in bumgenius pockets, which have been in rotation since my sone was 5 months old.

I have noticed that when my girl wees in one it stinks of urine really stongly (i.e. her bedroom smells like wee most of the time!), but my son's smell fine! Same nappies, same inserts.

Anyone have an explanation for this! I might be able to cope with the fact my daughter smells like wee if I know the reason for it!

Maybe her wee is more concentrated that DS because he drinks water. I know your DD will be BF or FF but without water (not saying you should give her any either) her wee is prob stronger than his.

I could be completely off track with this one, it is just a guess.

My DS 6.5 month has stinky bum genius ones too. Especially the really full night one. He is only BF. I tried a disposable overnight recently and no smell...weird....

Thanks for the replies. I think I will just have to save the ittis etc for when we are out and use the BG around the house so strangers don't think I am a bad mum for letting my daughter smell of wee. They do the job well but just smell bad!!!
