Question 26 Week full blood test & GD test..

    Did anyone else have this?

I had mine yesterday. I asked my doctor when i should come back for the results, and she said she would just see me again in 4 weeks at my next appointment, Unless there was anything abnormal in my results, eg. If the Gestational Diabetes test came back positive ..ect.. Then they would ring.

Well, they rang.. They want me to go in first thing tomorrow morning.

Ive phoned my surgery and asked if my doctor could please ring me because im worried now. So im hopeing she rings me back..

Anyway.. So what im wanting to know is, Does anyone know what exactly they test for? It just said full bloods, GD, HCG.. and i think thats all..

    Im a little worried

They are going to do a follow up test....the same as what you had but you'll have to wait longer before you get the second bt done. I've had this....the first one came back a tad high so they redid it with the full glucose intolerance test and it came back fine.

What was the first test they did for it? Just a simple blood test? Or the drink and then the hour wait, then bloods?

    Thanks for your reply too..

I had the full GD test 1st go (what my OB does for everyone). It was bloods, drink, wait an hour, more bloods, wait another hour, more bloods. The drink may be more concentrated, not sure???

My first test was the drink and the hour wait...and that came back high. The second test I had to wait longer....2 or 3 hours I think...can't remember.
