Default How do you wear a headband?

I really like the look of a headband (fabric) but have trouble wearing them.

Firstly, I have a fringe, secondly, lots of hair! I find if I wear it over my ears it eventually slides up anyway and if I wear it behind my ears my hair sticks out like I'm in a wind tunnel!

I bought a Lorna Jane one that looked fab on a friend (don't they always!) but it's really thick and tight (and gives me a headache) and I end up with a bump at the back of my head where it kicks the hair out. (hair is just past shoulders)

Anyone have more luck than me? I do find thin short scarves can do the trick and tend to stay in place more though, they tend to be my only option

Well.. I can see how the fringe would get in the way of that look.

I have long hair with no fringe, so it works okay on me.

If the thin scarves work, maybe stick with those. Or try the thinner plastic kind that can be put behind your fringe but in front of the rest of you hair.

And um.. Wouldn't wearing it over your ears make hearing a little difficult?

no, to be honest with you, I have no luck with the fabric ones, they move and never stay put!!

But I have very long and very thick hair, and I almost always straighten it, however if I do not have time, I am forced to wear curly hair, as mine is, and I wear a black, thicker plastic headband, and it works better for me.

I love headbands. But different headbands suit different people. I find the proper fabric headhands don't suit me so I buy scarves and knot them under my hair.

Tie all ur hair back and put ur head band around ur neck. Push it back and leave it abit on ur forehead but behind your ears. If it has a bump at the back under your hair it means the headband it too wide for your head.

Also try these type of headbands, they seem to suit most people.

    Excuse the poser photo lol

I have to bobbypin the fabric head bands down.

I stick to scarves as they seem to stay put better.

Well I have the cleavage to match Steph.. Yeah some of those sort are ok if they aren't too tight behind the ears

NCB, it's ok if it wear it up behind the fringe but can look a bit 60's It's only fabric and being a mum, I hear everything!!

Sounds like time for a new head
