Default HELP! poor dude is in pain

We've been so lucky as ds has been a perfect baby for 10 months and now I think he's getting more teeth which has him waking most nights screaming.

It's really hard to settle him, I end up feeding him and it takes so long to try and give him nurafen because he just throws his body back and keeps screaming. It's veery upsetting for me too because I don't know what I can do for him. Even just holding him and cuddling him doesn't stop the crying.

He has 4 teeth on top and only the 2 on the bottom so I assume it's the next 2 on the bottom but could it be molars? He wasn't like this with any of the other teeth.

    Any advice would be great.

We do bonjella and have started nurafen.

    Thanks

Do you give him the Nurofen before you put him down for the night? You can't give it on the spot, by that time their adrenalin is pumping and they are too worked up to settle.

When the dude has teething pain, I give him Panadol at around 3pm, and then again at 7pm. This ensures it has taken effect before he goes to sleep, and will continue to dull the pain throughout his sleep.

    Good luck .

yep i agree with that!! best idea is to give him a few doses before he settles... should ensure he gets a better nights rest

My pharmasist actually just warned me about using Nurofen with teething. Because you can't use it in conjuction with Bonjela because they both contain asprin. Also Nurofen shouldn't be taken on an empty stomach... I don't even give panadol to my little one without giveing her a drink of milk first... sometimes these things are a bit harsh on there tummys...
