Default If you had $600 to spend on new nappys what would you get?

    Hi all,

I need to buy nappies for my twin girls and wish to ditch the horrible disposables for good.

I am looking at AIO's becasue they seem a lot easier for childcare to figure out etc.

I was looking at the Itti bitti bakers dozen pack but am wondering what everyone else would do in this position.

I have had pockets before but I did not like the stuffing etc.

How absorbant are the itti bittis?

    Thanks in advance... Allison

    I love my itti bitti's.

DD2 hasn't started daycare yet. I have got mainly snap ins and the covers dry much quicker than the trifold and booster. to get ready for daycare I got enough trifold booster sets that there are two for every cover. this way each afternoon I can wash the nappies. the covers will be dry by morning and I can put in the second set of inserts ready for the day. the first set of inserts can dry that day. that night I was again. the next day (day 3) I have got the covers dry again over night and day 1s inserts are ready to go while day 2s inserts are drying.

I haven't had a problem with absorbancy with the ittis, DS wears them sometimes too and they work for him as well.

Itti's would be a good choice... I'd try one first though and see if you like it before committing to a whole dozen.

How old are your babies, and what type of things are you looking for in a nappy - trim through the crotch, extra absorbent, fast drying, cute etc. That might help us help you more

    Hi ladies,

Thanks so much for you advice.

I want it to be easy, absorbant and long lasting. I dont think I will be topping up again so this has to do my girls until they are toilet trained. They are 15 months old now so I am thinking they will still be in nappies for another 20 months or so.

Cute would be nice but best value for my buck is top priority. I wish I could give my cash to someone and say "here you go, make the choice for me!" (I just have a lot on my plate and I dont like shopping much)

    So what do you think?

My boy is 15 mo and he's wetting out of his ittis now when he does a poo. I've tried strip washing them and boosting them but no go, they leak.

I would get baby beehinds magicalls because I think they're great. But I know plenty of people don't agree with me because every child is different.

I suggest you get a few trial packs and see what works for your twins. Every child is different and you may even find your twins are better in different nappies to each other.

I would get a Green kids trial pack, an ittis trial pack, a BBH trial pack and a bumgenius trial pack.

What you don't like you can swap or sell for something that does work / suit.

PS are you wanting to use cloth for day only? If you want to use cloth for night you might need to look at specialist night options.

Also once you decide what you want, contact the manufacturer of the nappy you want and negotiate a bulk deal. For $600 you should be able to get a discount.
