Default How long did it take to lose your baby weight?

Hey girls! I'm 29 weeks pregnant and have put on about 13kgs so far, I only have a small frame and I'm 155cm so it's feeling like a lot right now! I'm a bit concerned about how I'm ever going to get back to my pre pregnancy weight. As a single mum to be I'm sure I'm not going to get a lot of time to exercise but I have been told that the weight just drops off breastfeeding.

I'm just curious, how long did it take you to get back to your pre pregnancy weight and did you find you had to work hard at it?

Mine is always gone within the first couple of months. I breastfeed and I am always back at gym within 2 weeks so I do work hard. It drops off pretty quickly

It took me around 9 months-ish.

Don't stress! I put on well over 20kg and after I had my boy I still felt quite big compared to what I was but I didn't find it hard.

I demand fed (breastfeeding) and walked. A LOT! I found walking great because DS enjoyed it and I got to get out and about. Also, I carried him around in a sling a lot, I don't know if that helped, but I guess it could be classified as 'exercise'.

If you're anything like me you probably won't notice your weight after you have your bub because you will be too busy goo-gaaing over bub

and i've pretty much lost it all after 6 months, from breast feeding.

with my DD1 i wasnt too fussed on losing it, it didnt bother me too much and i just ate how i pleased and prob was about 5 kgs heavier then b4 DD1

but with DD2 i was a bit more conscious, during my pregnancy i ate healthy and did light exercise which actually made me lost weight while pregnant (but not anything that was harmful to baby)

afterwards i was exercising the same week ( not that i reccommend that to u i just felt up to it!)
and now im probably about 4 kilos lighter then i was pre DD2

im 159cms so not much taller then u so i went from early 50 something to 57 after DD1 and then after DD2 im 53 - 54

Thanks guys!! It's comforting to know that its not impossible! I figure that if it takes 9 months to gain all this weight, I should atleast give myself 9 months to lose it! I have been having major chocolate and carb cravings lately though.. I hope they disappear after bub is born.

If it's any consolation, I have found that after every child was born, I have had next to no appetite...I am too busy being love with my baby that food doesn't even come into the equation! You might find the same!

PMSL Coco, you are to funny.

With my DS's , the weight gradually drooped of within the first 6-9 months.
With DD, I had compications during pregnancy which saw me on bedrest. I put on a HUGE amount of weight of which I have 7.5 kg's left to lose.
