Leaking ?????

How can you tell if you are leaking amniotic fluid???

Sorry if TMI

In the last couple of days it has felt like I have been leaking a little and when I check it is definately more watery than slimey, but it isn't happening all the time. I have also noticed that my belly is looking smaller.

Bubs is still moving around but hasn't been as active as normal and I have had more BH lately. Never went through this with DD, but she broke my waters fully and then I went into labour. I just hope that I am not going to go into labour soon as it is still to early.

Has anyone else experienced this?

If you think you may be leaking i would go and get yourself checked by your care provider..
They can tell pretty much right away..

Put a pad in and then go up to the clinic/hospital or see whoever your care provider is. They can check the pad and see if it is amniotic fluid or not.

I had a 'slow leak' with DS1. Only my hind waters had broken and it just felt like I kept wetting myself

Was horrible.

A midwife told me with my last one (cos I was leaking fluid) that it has a semeny smell to it...so if it smells like you've just had sex and you haven't - then I'd say it's a leak.

Still get checked to be on the safe side though (they can do a swab to test for it).
