Hi,
Has anyone had experience with their child skin prick testing negative to Latex, but still having immediate reactions on exposure. I read that skin prick testing for latex allergy can be unreliable, and that skin patch testing was the only way to be sure. However the specialist never mentioned this at the time, despite me saying he had reacted two weeks prior to the tests (latex in a bandage). So I wondered how common negative skin prick tests to latex are and if anyone else had experienced this? My son has immediate hives on skin exposure. He also has other multiple food allergies.
