Default Wieght restrictions at peel health campus and other hospitals.

One person told me it was 125kg and another told me 115kgs. Does anyone know what it actually is and what is your story. Did they try to get you diet or just let you go on in pregnancy and send you elsewhere to deliver???

I have not heard of there being a weight limit in most general hospitals.

I know there is a 100kg weight limit at the KEMH birth centre, but the actual hospital would most likely not have one.

I know its about the BMI rather than weight, at Werribee Mercy they will only accept you if your BMI is below 40 at booking time.

Ring the hospital and find out.

    Me too actually.

Surely all hospitals cannot have a weight limit and then what if there is a pregnant woman over all the weight limits. Does she get refused care??

Seems a bit... Odd to me.

I'm not sure about Peel, but Bunbury Regional has a 140kg weight limit for maternity and SJOG has 120kg. Otherwise if you exceed that, you are required to go to a Perth hospital that caters for maternity patients that weight above their 'criteria'.

I know that rockingham/kwinana hospital's limit is 125kg. If you weigh more than that I think your only alternative is King Edward.
I'm pretty sure it because of the beds they have there...

(I have a few friends from the rockingham area that had that problem, so had to go into perth to have their babies... So I'm assuming that Peel wasn't an option either)
