Is it safe to eat spam even when you are NOT pregnant?? - just kidding
it should be fine - it's processed in the canning process so there isn't any of the food poisoning worries

Why would ya wanna?
Not sure exactly but I think anything that processed shouldn't be eaten normally let alone during a pregnancy.
not sure bout spam but yr not supposed to eat ham, deli meats, soft cheese and soft serve ice cream because of listeria so id ask the dr to b on the safe side
DP who is a scientist and knows everything about everything (drives me nuts!) told me processed meat like spam and sausages are high in nitrate which isn't good for either you or the baby. That being said, I think in small portions it would be fine.
On the topic of what's not good, I was craving anticols the other day - don't ask me why! - and halfway through eating the pack thought it google whether they were OK or not. Turns out menthol is not recommended in pregnancy. Oops!
i have no idea about spam or butter menthols... or even strawberries, but i know i have been eating strawberries, watermelon and green apples like they are in short supply or something... cherries and pineapple for breaky in bed tomorrow morning along with those other fruits... yay!
anyway - i just had to pop my nose in coz i have been having a look at all the new threads this morning and every single time i saw this one i read it as "can we eat sperm while pregnant?" so i thought i would give you all a little laugh at my stupidness....
Mummy + Daddy = 8
I think that is VERY bad for you!!
I just think studies haven't been done for links between menthol and pregnancy so they don't recommend or not recommend it. Me - I'm just paranoid about everything when I have precious cargo so tend to avoid it.
The link I found was http://www.fetal-exposure.org/OTC.html.
