Default Liver Function Tests ... seeking advice

    Hi all,
I'm very new to all of this... but hoped someone might provide some advice.
I've been ill for about a week now. I had a fever, chills, nausea, vomiting and massive headaches. My GP ran some bloods, didn't find anything and sent me to hospital last week. They sent me home. My symptoms have subsided. But the GP still has concerns about my liver function blood tests being deranged. Lots of blood tests have been done, and everyone keeps saying I just have a viral infection and so need to rest lots. This morning I spoke to my GP again, and he wants to wait til next week to retest my liver functioning as he feels I am getting better. I too feel I am getting better.
However, what got me really worried is that my GP mentioned today that he wanted an ultrasound to check that our bub is growing appropriately. I've just gone 6 weeks, and have been expressing concerns to the GP and hospital about the impact this undiagnosed illness could have on our bubba. But I've always been reassured that my illness would not cause harm. Now, he tells me this that I need an ultrasound to check everything. Is this normal?? I thought the first ultrasound wasn't until 12-14 weeks???
I'm really worried. We only found out we were expecting 1.5 weeks ago. I haven't told anyone because I've been so worried about this illness.
Any advice much appreciated. Is there any way to tell if I'm no longer pregnant? I've had no cramping, no spotting. I've had a few pangs in my lower abs which the GP said was probably my uterus beginning to stretch.
    Thanks everyone.

    Hi there
I dont know alot about this but LITTLE lol
I had some problems with my liver also .I had some blood work done about 3 weeks ago and my iron levels were way to high.
I should mention that I did have a liver function test done before I was pregnant and it wasnt good .
Over time it was back to normal .
Anyways the tests done 3 weeks ago with the high iron levals made them think my liver was messed up again .
I had a repeated test done with a liver function test done and a thyroid test also .
I was also stressed out thinking i had liver problems
Anyways got results2 days ago and seems now my iron levels are perfect and I have a problem with my thyroid glad.
So I guess the function of the liver can change very quickly,Im sure your liver will recover and you say your feeling better ,thats a great sighn

good luck ,hope all that made some sence
