bub is weighing in at 5pd n still have 9wks togo??

as the title say, i had a scan today, n he said that bub is 5pd. and bub is well feed....

so yes i new i was going to have a big baby due to claire being 4140g n this bubba is already at 2.2kgs.... i love chubba bubbas over small bubs yes small bubs are cute as but to tiny to handle...

so im asking how much weight do they average put on in the last 9wks, i.e 300g a wk

ont know how much they put on in the last so many weeks, but they said my bub was about 5 pound when I was about 30 weeks, and I had a 7.4pound bub at 36 weeks.
that was my second baby,

My first was born at 32weeks and 4.12 pound, and they did say if she had have gone full term, she would have been big, they said that was a good size for that early bub.

It really is virtually impossible for them to tell how much the baby by itself weighs.
So your baby may or may not be that size already.

I'd be more inclined to tell them to stuff it.. Because it is so difficult to tell. Its not right for them to say that.

Maybe someone will be able to tell you how much babies gain of weight in the last few months.
I can't... Why not just be healthy and wait for bub instead?

I think they can have a fair idea of how much they are going to weigh.

My midwife said to me I guess your baby will be about this much, and she was just judging from my tummy, and she was right. they aqre use to it I suppose.

If you are carrying differently then that affects their judgement too!

I was told I would have a 5lb baby.

BOTH were 8lb 11oz.

It really is just a guess.

My DD was measured at 6 pounds at 32 weeks. She was 8 pound born at full term.
My first two were actually bigger than her (both around 9 pound).
Babies weight gains really vary through out the last weeks of pregnancy, so there isnt really any way youcould tell how big bubs will be when they arrive..

thanks, im not taking it that he is 5pd, but he was right with my lil sister he said bub was weighing at 7pd n he was born at 7pd1

im having a google for you and havent found anything (yet) that says how much weight they put on but i have found 2 growth thing-o's, but the example bub is around 7lb born.
here are one of the weights so you can get an idea though

week 32 = 3.75
week 33 = 4.23
week 34 = 4.7
week 35 = 5.3
week 36 = 5.78
week 37 = 6.3
week 38 = 6.8
week 39 = 7.25
week 40 = 7.6

i think that might help you get an idea until someone comes along that can help more.

they gave me a estimate weight and were pretty spot on for DD2, he said when she would be born she woudl just be over 9lb....she was 9lb1
