    Default V Smile or Leapfrog

Ok, So I want to get my DS a nintendo type thing for the TV and am tossing up between the leapfrog Leapstar TV or the Vtech V-smile?

Can anyone tell me anything about either of these products; good/bad points, if you have one, does your DC like it. etc.

Anything you can tell me will be much appreciated.

We have the leapster tv thingy. I got it for DS1 for christmas 2yrs ago. He played with it maybe 5 times and it's been on top of his cupboard gathering dust ever since. The games are pretty boring tbh.

ETA - maybe he was just too old for it though. He was 4. DS2 seems interested in it but I cant find the game cartridge

Yeah, I was probably more leaning towards the V-tech thing, but wanted to get an idea anyway. I'm also thinking that there's probably not a huge difference between them both.

Hmm...I'm having 2nd thoughts now Myztic. I bought DS the leapstar for road trips (hopeing it'll lessen the 'Mum, Where going?'), and am thinking might it be an idea to see how he takes to that first. DS will be 3 in September.

    Anyone else with feedback?

I've got the V-smile which we love. DS has fun with the games and we're about to buy a graphics tablet type thing for it. We don't have the Leapster L-max but we do have the original leapster. I just bought a whole heap of titles for it at $10 each. DS loves it. I think the L-max is able to be used with the TV or stand alone which to me would give it advantage over the V-smile but I think its just a matter of really researching and working out which is best for your needs.
