Bleeding after d&c

Hi all, I'm a bit confused...I had a termination due to my baby being diagnosed with d.syndrome & bled continuously for about 60 days. The drs then realised that not everything came out during the termination so I had to have a d&c. After the d&c I bled heavily for a day and then lightly moving on to spotting which pretty much stopped after about a week. I thought this was all good but then a couple of days later I started bleeding again. This was very very heavy bleeding for 2 days which has now stopped altogether. I went to the dr & was told it could still be from the d&c or it could be my period. The bleeding started exactly when my period would have been due but I was told with the d&c that I shouldn't expect to get my period for 4-6 weeks. Also, my period normally is about 7 days long not just 2 days. Now, I'm desperately hoping it's my period as I want to start an ivf cycle again, but now I'm not sure. Has anyone else had an experience like this or know what it might be?? Thanks

Firstly in so sorry for your loss.

I had a D&C in Jan 08 , I bleed for about a week, then about 4 weeks later AF arrived. I was told by my FS that it would be wise to wait a cycle before continuing with IVF FETS.

Everyones body is different and reacts differently so, my only advice is to wait anoither cycle bfore starting, to give yourself time to heal etc.
