Default post pregnancy hormones and nausea..

just wondering if anyone suffered from feeling really nauseous (sp) after having their baby? Liliana was born on friday and for the past 3 days ive been so nauseous and find it hard to stomach anything, im also experiencing the baby blues in a big way, i knew to expect this to happen but its so full on with the nausea, which is much like when i was morning sick in early pregnancy for the first couple of months.. also, I am breastfeeding (every 2hrs or so, not sleeping hardly at all as a result) so i need all the food/water etc i can stomach, problem is everything is hard to eat..
any past experience or tips would be really appreciated

FYI & in case anyone experiences something similar, i thought id post that the hormones have settled down & the nausea has gone away as well PHEW! Obviously the milk coming in has a lot to do with how you feel in the first week or breastfeeding, I noticed that once it had come in I started to feel so much better, also once you can get some sleep/any sleep, it helps as well

Renee, congrats on the birth of your little girl, Liliana (love the name). Welcome to motherhood.

I'm sorry i didn't see your earlier post when you posted it as i would have responded but glad it has all settled down now.

I was going to say that i had this the first couple of weeks with both my children but i think that alot of mine was from lack of sleep. When i don't get enough sleep, i tend to get very nauseous and just generally unwell.

    Take care
    Janet.

Congrats on bubs.... Not sure about the nausea, but now that you're over it (lol), try to get as much rest in your spare time as you can, even if its just a sandwich while watching oprah when bub is asleep.I agree, the more tired, the worse EVERYTHING feels!Having said that, enjoy it while it lasts, they dont stay little for very long!!!! Good Luck with the next few days, weeks and years!

I know this is not going to help you bu tI thought it was funny. My mother told me this happened to her 30 years ago after her first pregnancy. My mother is Chinese so her Dad sent her some chinese medicine from overseas. My mum said it was a real effort to get it through customs because it was actually bird poo. HAHAHA. My mum claims it worked and was the only thing that did... I told her it was just a placebo although she still disagrees.
